The Dri-Eaz DefendAir HEPA 500 is a portable air scrubber and negative pressure machine with a two-stage filter system and variable air flow control of 250 to 500 cubic feet per minute (CFM) for mold and sewage remediation, water and fire damage restoration, and dust and odor control. This unit has a first stage standard paper pre-filter that captures large particles, and a second-stage primary HEPA filter rated to capture 99.97% of remaining particles down to 0.3 microns. An activated carbon filter (sold separately) for smoke, or a dispersed oil particulate (DOP) filter (sold separately) for oil particulates, may be used in addition to the first stage pre-filter to extend the life of the HEPA filter.
